Special Bulletin:
Grenada Hurricane Relief Foundation is Now Gathering Resources

Hurricane Ivan hit Grenada on September 7 causing total destruction
to the small Caribbean nation. Grenada received the worst of Ivan’s
fury. The damage was unprecedented in the history of the nation. With
a population est. of 89,000, it is estimated that 60,000 people are
homeless. Nine out of every ten structures was severely damaged or dest-
royed. To date, drinking water and power have not been restored, and it
is estimated that schools will not re-open for 6 months to one year.

Without adequate food, water, housing, and schools, Grenada will soon
become the next South Africa, Somalia, or Haiti or worse. The current
government administration has a long track record of corruption. That
is why we are organizing a grass-roots effort to ensure that the people
receive the support they need. Economic recovery will be painstakingly
slow, particularly for the poor and un-represented. Of the 89,000
inhabitants, there are an estimated 20,000 Rasta brothers and sisters
living on the island. We are asking for your help, contributions, and
donations to bring food and supplies to the needy and to re-build housing
for the poor and infirm, as well as the schools and community centers.

The Grenada Hurricane Relief Foundation will be established as a
non-profit organization with full transparency and accountability.

Call or email now to Pledge:

Once the organization is set up, those who have pledged
will be contacted, and thank you so much for your support.
Say you heard of us from the Reggae Festival E-Guide.

Marketing Your Reggae Biz Tidbit
Create your "About Us" Page on your website right the first time
(2 of 4 Tips)
By Mario Sanchez

How do they make money?
You know the cliché: "If it sounds too good to be true,
it probably is". If you don't make your business model
evident to your visitors (in other words, if you don't
show them how do you make money) the first question
they will ask themselves is: "what's the catch?". If
you offer too many things for free, or price your
products too low vs. your competitors, prospective
customers will hold back. Use your "About Us" page to
explain what your main revenue streams are, and why do
you charge what you charge. Remember to always talk
"value", not "price".

How long have they been in business?
People tend to regard longevity and stability as important
qualifiers to determine trust. Since most small business
(especially of the on-line variety) tend to be very young,
it may be hard to use the longevity card to solicit trust.
If that is your case, you can talk about your past experience
instead. For most small business owners, their past
experience is highly relevant to their current businesses.
Use your "About Us" page to talk about it, and how does it
relate to and benefit your current business.

See next week's Reggae Festival E-Guide for 3 of 4 tips.
